Frequently asked questions from curious couples

Before you reach out, you probably have a few questions. Good! The more you know going in, the easier this whole thing feels. Here are honest answers to what couples ask us most, from how we work to what you'll actually walk away with.

How would you describe your style?

Cinematic, romantic photojournalism are the biggest adjectives that come to mind. I dislike how the industry is so often split between "light and airy" and "dark and moody." I'd rather make raw, timeless photos that don't fit neatly in either bubble. I try not to lean into trends so your photos don't look dated in ten years. It's all about that true-to-life, artsy goodness that catches you in your realest form.

What's your turn around time for photos & film?

You'll get a sneak peek about a week after your wedding to hold you over. Full photo galleries are delivered in three months or less, and wedding films in six months or less. I'd always rather take the time to get it right than rush something you're going to keep forever.

How do we book with you?

It's pretty easy. You reach out, we hop on a quick phone or video call if you're down for one, and then we lock in your date with a signed contract and a 50% deposit that goes toward your final payment. I've got the whole thing laid out here so it feels like a breeze.

How many photos do we receive?

I don't quote a set number, simply because every wedding is different. A four-hour elopement and a twelve-hour wedding aren't going to deliver the same count. You'll get a lot though, and if you have a specific number in mind, just tell me and we'll talk it through.

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

Hell yeah. I couldn't care less about your race, gender, religion, or sexual identity. The best part of this work is getting to meet people from all over the world and witness your lives through my lens. You're all welcome here, friends.

Do you photograph elopements and smaller weddings?

Absolutely. Some of my favorite days I've ever shot have been tiny. An elopement on a mountain, a backyard ceremony with twelve people who matter most. A smaller guest count doesn't mean a smaller experience, and the coverage scales to fit whatever your day actually looks like.

Do we get the raw or unedited files?

I don't deliver raw or unedited files. Editing is a core part of how your photos and film end up looking like mine, and the final gallery is the finished work I want you to have. What you receive is the fully edited, color-graded version, ready to print, share, and hold onto.

Do you ever bring on a second shooter?

Short answer, it depends on your package. Based on whether you're booking photo, video, or both, and the size of the collection you choose, it can range from me flying solo to a team of up to four additional shooters. You can also add an additional shooter onto any package, so you can have as much coverage as you want. I'm lucky to have a whole group of photographer and videographer friends from all over the world I trust to bring along.

Where are you based?

I'm based in Phoenix, Arizona, and I travel all over the country and the world to photograph couples in love. I genuinely love to travel and I'm happy to follow you wherever your day is taking you. My passport stays ready, so just reach out and we'll get the adventure rolling.

How does travel work?

I keep travel simple. When I send your quote, travel fees are already built into the package. No hidden costs, no surprises. You've got enough on your plate. My whole goal is to make this as stress-free as possible so you can focus on the important stuff, like actually getting married.

What happens if it rains or something goes wrong?

Weather and curveballs are part of the deal, and they often make for the most memorable photos. I always bring backup gear, including extra cameras and cards, so a technical issue never derails your day. If the forecast turns, we adapt together, and I'll have ideas ready. You don't have to have it all figured out, that's my job.

Can you help us plan this thing?

Absolutely. I've been doing this a while, so I generally know my way around a wedding day. From the moment you book to the day itself, I'm all ears for any questions or ideas, and I'm always a quick text, call, or video chat away. Helping you think through the timeline and the details is genuinely one of my favorite parts.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yep. We can split your total into up to twelve payments and build a schedule that works for you. Normally I collect a 50% deposit at booking, which assumes two payments total: one when you book and one a month before your wedding. If you'd rather spread it out, your deposit just becomes the first of however many payments you choose.

Still have a question we didn't cover? That's exactly what we're here for. Reach out and ask us anything. No question is too small, and there's no pressure either way.
